Sometimes I wonder
Would it have gone differently If i had just said no?
Instead of shrouding my true feelings in
“Not today” And “I don’t feel like it”
But then
Did you even care?
If i had whispered No,
Shouted No,
Pushed you off me
and screamed No,
Would you even think No?
Or would you hear
“Ask again”
“I can be convinced”
“Yes absolutely”
Would my no even matter to you?
